The number of petitions against the bill in itself speaks volumes that many different groups feel this bill harms.
The bill ignores evidence that already exists around safeguarding failures, and will lead to more children being failed. The current law is already more than adequate if only LA's and multi agency services effectively implemented it, and if the government provided sufficient funding for the practitioners to resource their teams appropriately.
